2022 Grammy Awards: Olivia Rodrigo Wins Best New Artist

American singer, songwriter and actress, Olivia Rodrigo has emerged as the best new artiste at the just ended Grammy Awards 2022.

The 64th edition of the Grammy Awards which was hosted by South Africa’s Trevor Noah was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Las Vegas, Nevada on April 4, 2022.

Talented American songstress, Olivia Rodrigo bagged an award for the best new artiste, she was in a tight competition with Arooj Aftab, Jimmie Allen, Baby Keem, FINNEAS, Glass Animals, Japanese Breakfast, The Kid LAROI, Arlo Parks and Saweetie.

The show which was initially scheduled to be held in January 2022 was moved to April due to the surge in COVID-19 cases. The live show was also moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

In Other News; Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the early hours of Sunday, April 3 stormed the residence of rising Nigerian act, T.I Blaze.

The young talented act took to his official Instagram account to cry out that his residence has been raided by NDLEA operatives on Sunday. According to TI Blaze, the unfortunate incident took place around 1am in his absence.

He revealed that NDLEA operatives scattered his entire apartment and arrested his manager and road manager as well. T.I Blaze added that, the raid was done because he sang about Canadian Loud in the hit song; ‘Sometimes’.
