Big E Announces Premiere Date For Our Heroes Rock Pilot
Big E shares an exciting update about Our Heroes Rock.
According to the project’s Kickstarter page, the pilot episode focuses on Ruby Bridges, “the first African-American child to integrate into an elementary school in the South on November 14, 1960, with Rapsody narrating Bridges’ phenomenal story through rhythm and rhyme.”
In an update, Big E announced that Bridges” will premiere at Urbanworld Film Festival in New York City. The festival begins on November 1 and concludes on November 5, and it will be bheld at AMC 34th Street and the SVA Theatre.

Our Heroes Rock! began as a discussion about using ring gear to raise awareness. Now, it has turned into an animation project. Specifically, it is envisioned as an animated series that will bring attention to lesser-known heroes of Black history and empower young men and women of color.
On their Kickstarter page, Our Heroes Rock! notes that they have joined forces with the animation studio Something’s Awry and Grammy-nominated Hip Hop artist Rapsody.
