Page had a tough childhood; he grew up living with his father, and later grandmother; he also has two siblings, who grew up with their maternal grandmother. His high school years weren’t any better, as he is dyslexic, and had many problems passing classes. He attended St. Joseph’s High School, but after two years he switched to Point Pleasant Boro High School, where Page became interested in basketball, and thanks to his physical abilities, he was one of the best players in his class.
After he matriculated, Page enrolled at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, but left soon after, and decided to focus more on his job, working as a manager of the night club Norma Jeans. However, he then became a wrestling manager, managing Pat Tanaka and Paul Diamond as the tag team Badd Company in the American Wrestling Association. He stayed in the AWA for nine months, also becoming the manager of Curt Hennig, Madusa Miceli and Colonel DeBeers.
He then tried himself as a wrestler, but was unsuccessful, and returned again to a managing position, joining World Championship Wrestling, firstly as a manager, but then as a wrestler, and was quite successful. He managed such wrestlers as Michael Hayes, Jimmy Garvin, and Badstreet as a part of the Fabulous Firebirds, Johnny Ace, The Big Steel Man, and many others, all of whom helped increase his net worth.
Page’s career as a wrestler was even more successful; he wrestled in several promotions, including World Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Federation – now World Wrestling Entertainment – and Nonstop Action Wrestling. During his career which lasted for more than 25 years, he won several prestigious titles, all of which contributed to his net worth, as well as the contracts he signed with the aforementioned wrestling promotions.
Page won the WCW World Heavyweight Champion title three times, WCW United States Heavyweight Championship twice, and he also won the WCW World Tag Team Champion title four times. On his way to becoming champion, Page defeated such wrestlers as Rick Flair, Hulk Hogan, Jeff Jarrett, Christian, among others.
In recent years, because of his age Page became prone to injuries, and since 2011 has been appearing only sporadically on the WWE. However, he is still known for having developed several signature moves over the course of his career, including Diamond Clash, Diamond Bomb, and the most famous – Diamond Cutter.
Page is also recognized as a yoga instructor; he has developed the yoga series Yoga for Regular Guys Workout, which he later put into a book and several videos, the sales of which has also increased his net worth.
Regarding his personal life, Page has been married to Brenda Nair since July 2015. Previously, he was married to Kimberly from 1991 until 2004; the couple had two daughters.
