George Michael Was Quite Disturbed After His Boyfriend, Anselmo Feleppas Death
George Michal song from the ‘WHAM!’ always rises from the shadows to the headlines as we today celebrate the 5th death anniversary of the famous singer George Michael.
He died at the age of 53 and his long-time friend Andros Georgiou spoke to Mirror about how the death of Michael’s first and true love, Anselmo Feleppa heavily affected Michaels life.
He said, “George was the love of his life and if he hadn’t died I think George would still be here,” he told the outlet. “After Anselmo, he didn’t find real love,” he said, explaining the singer just had a lot of hookups. He “met lots of people but he never found what he had with Anselmo. I saw how happy they were. I think he was quite lost after Anselmo died, it hit him hard.”
In 2007, Michael told Desert Island Discs that he met Feleppa when he was 57 and it was the first time he fell into true love. It was a distorted love story from the typical love story seen in the 90s.
He recalled the time after Feleppa’s death and said “It was tragic that I lost him, but it was a wonderful experience meeting him. There have only been three times I’ve really fallen for anyone,” he said. “And each time, at first sight, something has clicked that told me I was going to know that person. It happened with Anselmo across a lobby.”
He continued to release his songs and kept his true loves memories with him. The famous singer then fell ill in 2016 and died at 53 years on 25 December.

He later changed his name to George Micheal as his previous name was difficult to write and pronounce. In 1981, he made a duo known as ‘WHAM!,’ which consisted of two singers, George Micheal and Andrew Redgeley.
This band gained a massive popularity after the first release ‘Fantastic’.’ Later the band would go on to release new albums and tracks which were highly cheered by the fans.
Their poster would be pasted on the walls if there was any new release o r any live show event that would feature the ‘WHAM!.’
